Distilled in Kentucky (70/21/9)

Tasting Notes:

Nose:

Honey suckle, toasted cinnamon (like teddy grahams), and baking spice.

Palate:

Honey suckle (coating the palate like a think layer of honey), oak, tobacco, cinnamon.

Finish:

Toasted oak, rye spice, slightly nutty, and tobacco.

We know everyone was bummed about the very short KOA barrel, but like we always say, there will always be more bourbon! And you know it will always be top tier coming from Rare character whiskey . This K21 barrel will be no different.

This is 1 out of a 13 barrel lot, most of which was bottled around 6yr 9mo. This was picked at the same time we picked the KOA, but decision was made to wait until this beauty turned 7yrs old. So this will also be 1 out of approx. 4 K21 barrels with a 7yr age statement.

A portion of these proceeds will be going towards UpRVA. UpRVA identifies highly capable middle school students, and help assist with their placement in an independent high school (St. Catherine’s, Collegiate School, The Stewart School, etc). UpRVA then pays for the kids’ full tuition, as well as provide daily transportation to and from school, transportation to all extracurricular activities , and provide emotional/mental support through their after school program. Once the child graduates high school in good standing, UpRVA provides up to $10,000 per year in financial support for their college. You can read more about this at UpRVA.com.
